Rechollect

My name is Michael Blackwell, founder and operator of Rechollect.

For most of my life, my family knew that Dad would pass early due to a heart condition.

He led a life full of faith, love, leadership, and some incredibly funny stories - and I didn’t want to forget any of it. I didn’t want the “echo” of Dad’s life to fade away.

Before he passed, I recorded an interview with Dad which captured moments of his wisdom, his faith and his love for his family. I rewatch it often, and each time I do, Dad’s life, his depth of character, and his love, continue to comfort and encourage me.

It was that interview which inspired me to create Rechollect.

In a tumultuous world where the past is so easily forgotten, I realised that Rechollect could fulfill a need I saw in the community.

A need to connect with the past.

A need to learn from previous generations and to carry those lessons into our collective future.
